SanDisk M.2 SATA 128 GB SSD - 2280 Form Factor (Refurbished Product)
Description
The SanDisk M.2 SATA 128 GB SSD is a high-performance storage solution designed for the maintenance and optimisation of professional IT fleets. This M.2 2280 form factor drive is particularly suitable for replacing failing storage units in ultra-thin laptops, compact workstations, and thin clients. As a Grade A refurbished product, it offers an optimal performance-to-price ratio for technicians looking to restore a device's system responsiveness at a lower cost.
Technically, this module uses the SATA III 6 Gb/s interface, achieving sequential read speeds of up to 540 MB/s. Unlike mechanical hard drives, the absence of moving parts ensures increased shock resistance and reduced power consumption, thereby extending battery life on mobile terminals. SanDisk's integrated flash management technology ensures advanced error correction and efficient wear levelling, extending the lifespan of NAND cells despite its 128 GB capacity.
Each refurbished unit distributed by UTOPYA has undergone a rigorous technical audit. The protocol includes a full check of SMART attributes to guarantee sector integrity and a minimal wear level. This SSD is compatible with the majority of motherboards featuring an M.2 slot that supports the SATA protocol (Key M+B), offering installation versatility for multi-brand repairers.

Workshop Advice & Usage
During installation, ensure that the host machine's M.2 port supports the SATA protocol. A slot wired exclusively for "NVMe Only" will not recognise this drive. To optimise the SSD's lifespan after installation, we recommend checking that the TRIM function is enabled in the OS (Windows/Linux). As it is a refurbished product, it is recommended to use it primarily for installing the operating system and applications, advising the end customer to use remote storage (Cloud or secondary HDD) for large critical data.
