Ocadia App Update

The app is essential for managing and identifying devices in your Ocadia cutting machine. Its proper functioning relies on a stable Internet connection and up-to-date software.

Does Ocadia update automatically?

New phone models are added to Ocadia in real time. Therefore, a manual update is usually not necessary unless you notice that some recent models are missing.

Recommended update frequency

To ensure optimal performance of the app, it is recommended to perform a manual update once a month.

Update procedure

  1. Check the Internet connection: Make sure your device is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.
  2. Access Ocadia settings: Open the app and go to the settings menu.
  3. Check the current version: Look at the currently installed software version.
  4. Start the update: If a new version is available, follow the instructions to update.
  5. Enter the password: When a password is required to complete the update, enter 1212.

Common issues and solutions

  • The app doesn't include new models: Check your Internet connection, and if needed, try a different network (such as a mobile hotspot).
  • Update failed: Ensure you’re using a functional Wi-Fi network and try again.
  • Incorrect password: Make sure you entered 1212. If the problem persists, please contact our support team.

What to do if the Ocadia machine cuts the film incorrectly?

If you notice that your Ocadia machine is not cutting the film properly, it may be due to incorrect blade settings or cutting force. Here are the steps to follow to resolve this issue.

Initial Checks

  1. Check the condition of the blade:
    • In most cases, improper cutting is due to a worn-out blade.
    • As a reminder, we recommend replacing the blade after 100 cuts.
    • Make sure the blade is clean and properly installed.

Recommended Initial Settings

Start by checking that your machine settings match the recommended parameters:

  • Blade adjustment: position 7 or 8.
  • Blade force (in the machine settings): value 2.

These settings are suitable for most Ocadia films. However, if the issue persists, you can slightly adjust these values.

Adjustments to Fix the Cut

  1. Increase the blade force:

    • Try increasing the blade force to 3 or even 4 in the machine settings.
    • Perform a new cut to see if the result improves.
  2. Adjust the blade position:

    • If the issue continues, try changing the blade position between 7 and 8.

If the Problem Persists

  • If, after these adjustments, the cutting is still incorrect, please contact our technical support for further assistance.
  • Provide the following details to help with the diagnosis:
    • Type of film used.
    • Current machine settings.
    • Detailed description of the issue.

Remember to Replace the Cutting Blade

To ensure precise cuts and avoid unnecessary waste of hydrogels, it's essential to replace your blade as soon as it shows signs of wear. A worn blade is, in fact, the primary cause of imperfect cutting.

With the Fairplay V3 machine, you can set a blade wear alarm. Simply define a threshold—such as 100 cuts—and the machine will automatically alert you when it's time to replace the blade.

A simple and effective tool to maintain cutting quality and optimize your supplies!

As a reminder, we recommend replacing the blade after 100 cuts.

Maximum Cutting Dimensions

The Ocadia machine is designed to cut protective films for smartphones, smartwatches, and tablets with dimensions up to 210 mm. This covers most consumer devices in these categories.

Software Features

The software linked to the Ocadia machine offers a vast library of models, including some that exceed the maximum dimensions supported by our machine. This is because the software is shared across various machine models, some of which can handle larger sizes.

Important to Know

If you select a model larger than 210 mm, it cannot be cut using the Ocadia machine. We recommend checking your device’s dimensions before starting a cut to ensure compatibility with your machine’s capabilities.
