We understand that you may occasionally end up with items you no longer need—whether due to a customer canceling a repair, a misdiagnosis, or an ordering mistake.

Because we want to support you as best as we can, we exceptionally accept the return of functional spare parts within 30 days from the date of purchase.

To return an item in this case, simply follow the standard warranty return procedure and specify the reason as "ordered by mistake." Please note that accessories and complete devices are not eligible for this exception.

As an exception, Apple Service Pack spare parts are also not eligible for return.

 

Returned spare parts must be in perfect condition, never used, and in their original packaging, intact and free of any writing, stickers, or markings.

Products under manufacturer's warranty

Manufacturer Warranty

The warranty for most spare parts and accessories offered on UTOPYA is handled directly by our team. However, for complete devices, the warranty is often managed directly by the manufacturer.

In such cases, the end user (the customer) must contact the manufacturer's customer service directly. As a distributor, we are not authorized to act on behalf of the brand regarding warranty processing.

Product warranty period and return policy

The warranty period for a product may vary depending on the manufacturer. Here’s how to check it:

  • Before purchase: It is shown directly on the product page on our website.
  • After purchase: You’ll find it indicated on your customer invoice.

The way the warranty is handled also depends on the manufacturer.

  • If it states UTOPYA, it means our after-sales team manages the process. The product must be returned to us using the usual return procedure.
  • If it states MANUFACTURER, then the warranty must be handled directly with the brand. We do not intervene in this case.
  • If it states REFURBISHER, the warranty process must be handled directly with the refurbisher. However, feel free to contact us so we can provide the correct contact details for the purchased product.

Of course, in all cases, our customer support team remains available to provide you with all necessary information and guide you through the process. We're here to help! ????

Why the customer is responsible for returning products under guarantee

Warranty returns are a sensitive subject, and we understand our customers’ concerns. However, it is important to remember that returns are an integral part of the industry. Although we do everything possible to minimize after-sales service rates, it is impossible to avoid them completely.

Our margins do not allow us to cover the return shipping costs for products under warranty. Rather than increasing our prices to include these costs, we have chosen to offer ultra-competitive rates to provide the best prices to our customers.

However, for customers located in mainland France (excluding Corsica), we offer the possibility to generate a Chronopost return label at a flat rate of €4.90, regardless of the parcel’s weight. This contribution is symbolic, as we cover the actual shipping cost ourselves.

If you make one return every three months, this amounts to about €1.50 per month, a modest cost for a professional. Our goal is to avoid systematic returns while offering a simple and cost-effective solution for your warranty returns.

Choosing the right carrier for my warranty returns

Return shipping costs for after-sales service are the responsibility of our customers, so we do not recommend a specific carrier. However, it is essential to use a carrier that requires a signature from our team upon delivery.

We also offer the possibility to generate a Chronopost return label directly at the time of return (only for customers in mainland France, excluding Corsica). The shipping cost contribution is €4.90 excl. tax, deducted directly from the return amount, with no upfront fees.
In general, we strongly recommend choosing Chronopost, as this carrier provides a much more secure delivery than other similar services (Colissimo, etc.).

 

It is also important to note the following points:

  • We cannot be held responsible for non-receipt of a parcel shipped with a carrier that does not require a signature upon delivery (such as Colissimo, for example).
  • To ensure the security of your shipments, it is forbidden to drop off parcels directly in our mailbox. These will not be processed due to the high risk of loss or theft.
  • Returns via relay points are not allowed, as our staff are not authorized to collect parcels from these locations.
  • In case of loss or theft of your goods (partial or total), it will be your responsibility to claim on your carrier’s insurance. We therefore strongly recommend insuring your shipments for their actual value for optimal protection.

Refund of my returns under warranty

Products returned as part of after-sales service (ASV) result in an accounting credit, which is automatically sent to you by email. This amount is then credited directly as internal UTOPYA credit, immediately available to place new orders.

This system offers several advantages over a simple product exchange: it provides greater flexibility, allowing you to reinvest the amount in products of your choice without waiting for the exchange process. Additionally, it ensures quick and efficient management, avoiding extra delays related to restocking or shipping.

Refunds are made based on the product’s value on the day it is taken back under warranty or the initial value if lower.

You can view the details of your credits directly in your customer area, under the "UTOPYA Credit" section. This system is designed to best support you in managing your needs and to provide an ever smoother experience. ????

Making a warranty return

A fast and secure process for your warranty returns

Returning products under warranty is designed to be simple and quick. In just a few seconds, you can create a return from your customer area, without prior validation from us.

Why use our professional return module?

  • Time-saving: The process only takes a few moments.
  • Optimal traceability: Each return is linked to its original order, ensuring smooth and error-free management.
  • Security in case of audit: In case of a tax audit, linking each return with its original order helps meet tax obligations and avoid issues.

How to proceed?

Once the return is created, you have 10 days to send us the products. It is therefore essential to make this request only when you are ready to return your items.

  1. Access your customer area and go to the "Warranty Returns" section, then click on "Create a return".
  2. Identify the original order: Enter the SKU, scan the EAN, or search for the product name. Then select the associated order.
  3. Add your products: Indicate the quantity and reason for the return, then click the blue button. Repeat this step for all products to be returned by clicking on "Add a product".
  4. Finalize your request: Verify that all products are listed, then click on "Finalize my return".

Shipping your return

If you are in Mainland France (excluding Corsica), you can generate a Chronopost return label at a flat rate of 4.90€ excl. tax, regardless of the size or weight of the package. The remaining cost is covered by UTOPYA.

You can then drop off your package at a pickup point or post office (list available here).

    1. Print and sign the return label, then include it inside the package. If you wish to recover non-returned parts, check the corresponding box.

    2. Carefully pack your products: damaged items during transport cannot be accepted for return.

    3. Hand over the package to the carrier: the return address is indicated on the return label.
