Device conditions

The devices offered are available in several conditions, each reflecting the level of use and the interventions carried out:

• New: The device is new and benefits from the manufacturer's direct European warranty. It has never been used and is supplied in official manufacturer packaging.
• Refurbished: The device has been audited by a partner. Non-functional parts have been replaced and the battery level is guaranteed. Depending on the partner, a warranty may be offered to the reseller. Data erasure was performed before it was put up for sale.
• Functional: The device has been partially tested by our teams to identify broken parts. The network or battery have not been tested and may require replacement before being put back on sale by the refurbisher. No warranty is provided, except in the event of a fault upon receipt. Data erasure was performed before it was put up for sale. The refurbisher must inspect the device upon receipt and carry out the essential checks before any re-marketing.
• To be repaired: Faults or breakages have been detected by our teams. Faults are specified on the product sheet. Data erasure was performed before it was put up for sale. No warranty is associated, except in the case of a fault not indicated in the product description. Batteries are never tested and are therefore considered as potentially needing replacement.

Cosmetic grades

Refurbished devices are classified according to grades that reflect their cosmetic condition:

• Grade A: Device in very good condition, with minimal signs of wear. It may have slight scratches or scuffs but remains in excellent cosmetic condition.
• Grade B: Device in good condition, showing more visible signs of use, such as more pronounced scratches or marks.
• Grade C: Device in fair condition, with obvious signs of wear, such as marked scratches or impacts.
• Grade MIX ABC: The customer may receive a device in a random grade from A, B, or C.

Commercial reminder

Extract from the General Terms and Conditions of Sale (Article 16):

• The range of functional devices (Pre-Owned) offered on UTOPYA is intended exclusively for refurbishers. Under no circumstances can they be subject to direct resale to the end user.
• The refurbisher undertakes to comply with the legislation applicable in the country where the device will be put back into circulation. This includes, in particular, full functionality tests to establish that they meet legal safety obligations and the use that the consumer can legitimately expect.
• The return of a device is not permitted unless it does not comply with the conditions mentioned above.
