MECHANIC TIA-16 Precision Tweezers (Curved Tip Titanium Alloy)
Description
The MECHANIC TIA-16 tweezers are a high-end instrument dedicated to precision micro-soldering on smartphones, tablets, and laptops. Its aerospace-grade titanium alloy structure provides superior mechanical properties compared to traditional stainless steel tweezers. The main advantage of this material is its total non-magnetic property, a critical feature for technicians handling microscopic passive components (0201, 01005) that would otherwise remain stuck to the tips due to magnetic or electrostatic attraction.
The curved tip design of the TIA-16 is specifically engineered for ergonomic work under a binocular microscope. This angle allows the repairer to access restricted areas, often located behind vertical connectors or under shielding edges, while keeping the hand in a natural position. Furthermore, its low thermal conductivity protects the tips from premature wear during exposure to hot air flow and prevents dissipating the heat required to melt solder when holding enamelled copper wire.
With a featherweight of only 14 grams, the TIA-16 significantly reduces hand fatigue during long-duration interventions, such as complex reballing or the reconstruction of torn tracks. The manual polishing of the 0.1 mm tips ensures a firm and precise grip without slipping, even on the polished surfaces of silicon chips.

Workshop Advice & Usage
The Mechanic TIA-16 is a positioning tool and not for mechanical extraction. To preserve the perfect symmetry of the tip curvature, it is strictly advised against using it to straighten rigid connectors or to remove components bonded with epoxy resin (Underfill). Clean the tips after each session using a microfibre cloth soaked in isopropyl alcohol to remove solder flux residues that could, over time, foul the contact precision. It is essential to store the tweezers with their protective cap to avoid any damage in case of a fall onto the workbench.
