The MECHANIC C210-TO tip is a high-performance soldering cartridge designed for micro-soldering tasks under a microscope. Its short blade geometry (Knife Type) offers unparalleled versatility for motherboard repair technicians. It allows for switching between sharp precision for 0201 SMD components and a flat surface for cleaning pads or removing solder bridges on high-density ribbon cables and connectors (FPC).

Technically, this model is based on an optimised multi-layer structure. The core of the tip is machined from high-purity red copper, ensuring minimal thermal inertia and almost instantaneous heat recovery when contacting large ground planes. The working surface undergoes a nanometric electroplating treatment: a layer of iron protects the copper from chemical erosion, while a nickel finish facilitates solder alloy adhesion only on the active zone.

Workshop Advice & Usage

The C210-TO tip is the ideal tool for "Tin Dragging" (drag soldering) on power management chips (PMIC). To preserve the integrity of the nano-metallic coating, strictly avoid scraping the tip with a sharp tool or cleaning it with a dry abrasive sponge. Prefer the use of brass wool and the systematic application of a tip refresher if you notice a loss of wettability. Excessive temperatures above 400°C accelerate oxidation and reduce the lifespan of the integrated heating element.
