Workshop Advice & Usage

For maximum efficiency when removing flux traces or dry glue on a soldering mat or chassis, very slightly dampen the C18 sponge with 99% isopropyl alcohol (isopropanol) or demineralised water, then wring it out firmly before application. The sponge should be barely damp to release its micro-abrasive power. Important safety warning: Never use this melamine sponge to wipe the glowing tip of your soldering iron. Its molecular structure would not withstand temperatures above 100 °C when dry, which would cause immediate melting of the plastic onto the tip of your tool.
