Workshop Advice & Usage

When cleaning an FPC connector after desoldering, gently pass the gold-plated tip over the rows of pins: the residual tin will be drawn by capillary action and smoothed instantly. Note: clean the tips after each use with isopropyl alcohol and a soft sponge to preserve the gold plating; avoid wire brushes which could create micro-scratches on the polished finish of the needles.
