Device conditions

The devices offered come in several conditions, each reflecting the level of use and the interventions carried out:

• New : The device is new and benefits from the manufacturer's direct European warranty. It has never been used and is offered in official manufacturer packaging.
• Refurbished : The device has been audited by a partner. Non-functional parts have been replaced and battery level is guaranteed. Depending on the partner, a warranty may be offered to the reseller. Data wiping has been performed before it is put on sale.
• Functional : The device has been partially tested by our teams to identify parts showing damage. The network or battery have not been tested and may require replacement before resale by the refurbisher. No warranty is provided except in case of failure upon receipt. Data wiping has been performed before it is put on sale. The refurbisher must inspect the device upon receipt and perform the necessary checks before any market release.
• To repair : Breakdowns or damage have been identified by our teams. Faults are specified on the product sheet. Data wiping has been performed before it is put on sale. No warranty is associated, except in case of a failure not indicated in the product description. Batteries are never tested and are therefore considered potentially needing replacement.

Cosmetic grades

Refurbished devices are classified according to grades that reflect their cosmetic condition:

• Grade A : Device in very good condition, with minimal signs of wear. It may show slight scratches or scuffs, but remains in excellent cosmetic condition.
• Grade B : Device in good condition, showing more visible signs of use, such as scratches or more pronounced marks.
• Grade C : Device in fair condition, with obvious signs of wear, such as marked scratches or impacts.
• Grade MIX ABC : The customer may receive a device in a random grade among A, B or C.

Commercial notice

Excerpt from the General Terms and Conditions of Sale (article 16) :

• The range of functional devices (Pre-Owned) offered on UTOPYA is intended exclusively for refurbishers. Under no circumstances may it be directly resold to the end user.
• The refurbisher undertakes to comply with the legislation applicable in the country where the device will be put back into circulation. This notably concerns full functionality testing to ensure they meet legal safety obligations and the use that the consumer can legitimately expect.
• The return of a device is not authorized except in cases where it does not comply with the above-mentioned conditions.
