  • Mandatory inspection before installation: It is the repairer's responsibility to carry out a careful and meticulous visual inspection of the new battery before installation. This step is crucial and requires your full attention. Look for any anomalies (swelling, signs of leakage, whitening, electrolyte odour) which must lead to its rejection.
  • Chassis check: Before installation, ensure the battery compartment is perfectly clean, with no foreign objects (screws, debris). Even the smallest protrusion can create excessive pressure and damage the battery.
  • Internal component pressure: Particular vigilance is required when closing the device. Ensure that no abnormal pressure is exerted on the battery by elements such as screen clips, which could damage its casing.
  • Vigilance regarding chargers: Educate your customers on the importance of using original or certified chargers. A poor-quality charger can bypass protection circuits and cause overcharging, representing a proven risk factor.

⚠️ Safety Warning: New Electro-Reactive Adhesive (iPhone 16 Pro Max)

The iPhone 16 Pro Max is equipped with Apple's new electrical release adhesive technology (Debonding-on-Demand). The absence of classic pull-tabs radically changes the extraction procedure. Separation is now achieved through an electrochemical reaction (anodic delamination) that breaks the molecular bonds of the glue. It is imperative to apply a direct current (DC) voltage between 9V and 30V for 60 to 90 seconds to specific terminals (the silver battery tab and the grounding screw) so that the adhesive loses its properties and releases the part without any resistance.

To secure your interventions and optimise your repair workflow, the use of a stabilised power source is essential. We recommend using the QianLi IP66 tool. It automates the injection of the exact voltage required, avoids any mechanical stress on the device, and guarantees total safety for your technicians.
