2UUL Power Host (PW15) - Precision USB Ammeter & Voltmeter Tester
Technical Description
The 2UUL Power Host (PW15) is an essential diagnostic tool for quickly identifying the source of charging faults on smartphones, tablets and laptops. This USB tester is placed between your power source and the device to be tested to accurately display the electrical charging behaviour. Thanks to its real-time display of voltage (V) and amperage (A), it allows you to determine if a device "communicates" correctly with the charger or if it shows abnormal consumption.
Featuring an elegant design and a high-readability digital screen, the PW15 is capable of detecting fast-charging protocols. It is the perfect tool to confirm a diagnosis in seconds as soon as the customer arrives: zero or unstable amperage immediately indicates a faulty charging ribbon, a dead battery or a damaged charging controller (U2/Tristar).
Technical Specifications
- Reference: 2UUL PW15 (Power Host)
- Display: High-resolution LED digital screen
- Measurements: Voltage (0-30V) and Current (0-5A)
- Interface: Standard USB (compatible with various adapters)
- Precision: High-fidelity measurement to detect micro-variations in current
- Function: Charging monitoring and battery diagnosis
- Design: Compact, robust and ergonomic
Advantages
- Instant Diagnosis: Immediately see if the phone is taking a charge without having to dismantle the device.
- Short-Circuit Detection: Identify current overconsumption as soon as it's plugged in, thus protecting your testing equipment.
- Hardware Validation: Test the quality of your cables and power bricks by checking if they actually deliver the advertised power.
- Ease of Use: Plug-and-play, no complex configuration is required to obtain an accurate reading.
- Professional Tool: Strengthens customer trust by showing a quantified and scientific diagnosis of their fault.
Workshop Tip: A functional smartphone should generally show a progressive rise in amperage. If you observe a value stuck at 0.01A or 0.00A despite a correct voltage, direct your diagnosis towards the internal charging circuit or the battery. The PW15 is particularly useful for validating the repair of a charging connector before fully reassembling the smartphone.
